Health Benefits of Peas and a Soup Recipe
Peas were grown by the ancient Egyptians. It contains many proteins, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, minerals and an excellent source of vitamin A, C and B6. Dissolves blood clots, it is good for diabetics, for heart health and blood vessels, and it lowers blood cholesterol.

Excellent for diabetes
Peas is very slowly digested, and for this reason the body requires less insulin in order to preserve normal quantity of blood sugar. This is not the case with the consumption of foods rich in carbohydrates, such as bread, potatoes and more.
When eating peas (also beans, green beans) the need for insulin is reduced. What’s even more, it is considered as a preventive food from some infections and cancer, especially prostate cancer.
As a laxative

Recipe: Pea Soup
– 1 cup of chopped potatoes
– 2 cups of mineral water
– 1 cup of distilled water
– 1 cup of fresh peas (cleaned)
– half tablespoon of chopped garlic
– half tablespoon of chopped onion
– spices (salt, pepper …)
