Tips to Heal any Headache 

  

Headaches are the biggest problem for many people. Some of us have a problem with migraine, or headaches caused by the sudden weather changes, technology or stress. However, besides tablets there are, also, some other things that will help you defeat the unbearable headaches.

Headache is pain or painful sensations in the head and parts of the neck, compared to its onset and duration, can be acute or chronic. Although it is sometimes accompanying symptom of other diseases, it is often a headache and a disease in itself.

Headaches are one of the most common diseases affecting the human race. The most frequent are occurring between the ages of 25 to 35 years, more frequently in women than in men and children.

As in other parts of the body, pain or painful sensations, give those structures that have sensitive painful endings. The brain is not sensitive to pain. However, some structures of the head and neck are, and when any stimulus affects them we have a conscious perception of pain, which is called a headache. On our head, we have more structures that react with pain, such as extracranial structures like skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, tendons, arteries, nerves, teeth, middle ear, the surface of the lips, nasal cavity, periosteum skull, eye, and intracranial structure: sinuses, large arteries of the brain, meningitis, sensitive nerves and so on.

Types of headaches

 

Headaches according to their origin are divided into primary and secondary.

Primary headaches are specific diseases, and may not be combined with any other disease, while secondary headaches are resulting symptoms of other diseases, which caused them.

 

 

Primary headaches are certainly:

  • Migraine (Migraine with aura, migraine without aura, chronic migraine, complications of migraine, probable migraine, episodic syndromes that may be associational with migraine);
  • Tension headaches (rare and frequent episodic tension-type headache, chronic tension-type headache, probable tension-type headache);
  • Cluster headache and many others types of headaches;

Secondary or symptomatic headaches

  • Headaches attributed to trauma or injury of the head and/or neck;
  • Headaches attributed to cranial or cervical vascular disorders;
  • Headaches attributed to non-vascular intracranial disorders;
  • Headaches attributed to substances or their termination;
  • Headaches attributed to infection and other types of secondary headaches.

Tips to heal any headache

 

Massage your head – research shows that by massaging the part of the head, which is affected by headache, helps to reduce pain.

Stretch yourself – much of the headaches are caused by tension in the muscles. Simple stretch of the neck helps to reduce such tension.

Eat watermelon – although this is only possible in summer, keep in mind that. If your headache is caused by dehydration, watermelon can particularly help to reduce pain.

Drink enough water – seems simple, but many of the headaches are caused by dehydration.

Drink coffee – caffeine in coffee helps to reduce pain.

Drink apple cider vinegar – although it doesn’t sound like the best idea, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar added to a cup of water with a little honey and lemon juice can restore alkalinity in the body and reduce pain.

Ginger Tea – Ginger has anti-inflammatory effects that reduce the pain and anxiety that occurs in migraine.

Use cold compresses or ice around the eyes – the pulsating pain is reduced by lowering the temperature of the blood vessels in this area.

Hot shower – let the water in potent stream to fall on your neck. The heat relaxes muscles and reduces tension.
